2010 AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro Am: Phil Mickelson

Surrounded by a huge gallery, Phil Mickelson tees off from the ninth hole at Pebble Beach.

Phil Mickelson is very serious about golf. "Lefty" gives a quiet "thanks" back to supportive fans and rarely smiles on the course.

He's also a very good golfer and for some reason, one of my favorite pros to shoot on the links.

I decided to follow him through nine holes today at Pebble Beach and get the absolute best photo from each. There are more than nine shots, because I liked many photos from the same hole.

Nearly hiding behind a tree, Phil watches the other players in his group on the second hole.

Phil tees off on the fourth hole, as a crowd of fans gather around.

Silhouetted by the bright morning sun, Phil knocks grass into the air on the tee box of the par-3, fifth hole.

With his caddy near-by, Phil Mickelson whacks a fairway shot on 6.

Giant waves surround the famous seventh hole green as Phil Mickelson putts for par.
